Panda’s First Words

Bao the panda is quiet—very quiet.

While other animals laugh, play, and talk, Bao watches and listens, feeling left out but full of feelings he can’t yet share.

Then one day, with the help of new friends and a heart full of joy, Bao discovers the power of connection, expression, and love. And when the moment is just right… Bao says his very first word.

Panda’s First Word is a gentle, uplifting story inspired by the real journey of Makhai, a brave little boy who didn’t speak until age 4½. This book celebrates every child’s unique path to finding their voice, showing that sometimes, the most beautiful words come in their own time.

Perfect for families, educators, and children of all abilities, this touching story reminds us that love, patience, and friendship make all the difference.
