Panic Azimuth

Panic Azimuth is a blunt, experience‑forged guide for senior leaders who suddenly find themselves carrying the full weight of a team, a mission, and the expectations that come with the job. Drawing on 26 years across the Army, Army Reserve, and National Guard, Daniel S. Massey delivers the lessons he learned the hard way — the kind you won’t find in doctrine, policy, or leadership theory.

Massey confronts the uncomfortable truth every leader eventually faces: experience alone doesn't make you ready. Growth does. Humility does. Accountability does.

This book is the azimuth leaders reach for when everything feels chaotic, uncertain, or overwhelming.

Whether you’re a new First Sergeant, a company‑grade officer, a senior NCO, or a civilian leader responsible for real people and real consequences, Panic Azimuth gives you the perspective, tools, and hard‑earned wisdom to lead with confidence and purpose.

If you’ve ever wondered, “Am I really ready for this?” — this book is for you.
