About the Author
Kristen Dembroski is a certified Reading Teacher, English as a Second Language
Teacher, Reading Specialist, and National Board Certified Teacher. Kristen has 7 years of classroom experience teaching Language Arts with adolescents. Working with teenagers is filled with challenge, reward, and humor! Within her curriculum, her passion is ensuring that all students, regardless of abilities, can access the material and find success and independence. Currently, Kristen Dembroski is completing her doctorate in Language and Literacy with a focus on digital literacy and locating, comprehending, evaluating, communicating, and synthesizing texts presented in a digital format.
This book also features contributions from Linda Quesnell, a certified Professional Educator with a Masters in Education. In her 23 years of classroom experience, she has taught writing to both Gifted and Talented as well as special needs students. Working with passionate and energetic middle schoolers is challenging but immensely rewarding. According to Linda, "Students have been my greatest teachers. I look to them to see what they need, and how I can give that to them. They have made me a better teacher."
