In early June, 2010, the World Packaging Conference was held in Beijing. Compared with the World Packaging Conference that was held in Beijing four years ago, the world economic situation today is more complex and the global financial crisis still clouds the whole world and the pace of economic recovery is still slow. To our relief, the packaging industry, as an important part of the national economy, benefits from many vigorous measures taken by the country and achieves sustainable growth, with more than 1 trillion Yuan gained in 2009. Mr. Shi Wanpeng, president of the China Packaging Federation stressed in the World Packaging Conference that China s packaging industry should be people-oriented in the new stage and cultural creativity and technological innovation should be combined together, carrying forward in-depth innovation and making ""three kinds of packaging"" as strategic focuses, that is green packaging, innovative packaging and creative packaging.
