Papercrafting in No Time: 50 Inspirational Projects Crafted from Paper

Fold, cut and glue 50 of the most amazing decorative paper creations you have ever seen. Clare Youngs presents 50 unique ways to make use of letters, labels, leaflets and more to decorate your home in an elegant yet affordable fashion. Even if you are new to papercrafts there are a host of projects for you, such as the spiral paper bowls. There are ideas that make the most out of plain paper, like the dove mobile in white or the picture frame that incorporates crepe paper. Simple designs are given impact, like the hanging bird decorations, where small cuts in the paper peel back to reveal brightly colored backing, or if you are a papercraft pro, try something more advanced like the paper-cut picture and the bird in a paper nest. Every project has clear step-by-step instructions and the techniques section explains all the basic skills you will need, including transferring your sketches into stencils and working with negative space. Templates are provided and as you require very few tools you can get started straight away. You will also learn how to look for great sources of paper, such as scraps of gift wrap and wallpaper, shopping bags and magazine adverts, and even vintage maps and music scores.
