Captain Lincoln served in a Massachusetts regiment during the American Revolution. He was at Fort Ticonderoga and the battle of Saratoga during the Burgoyne campaign of 1777. He also was in the Hudson River Highlands and New Windsor during the last year of the war. Comprises six diaries of miscellaneous notes on several campaigns of the war; copies of rosters and returns, in facsimile, from Captain Lincoln's company; Capt. Lincoln's company book, Oct. 6, 1781; various letters; miscellaneous papers; pension papers and vouchers and more. A interesting, but rather asymmetrical collection of an officer's wartime experiences.
