A scarce text presented to both Houses of Parliament by command of Her Majesty on the Cape of Good Hope, South Africa. Scarce work. In continuation of papers presented to parliament by Her Majesty's Command in 1850, 1851, and 1852. Includes a detailed schedule, copy of dispatches and letters, petitions, and legislative council meeting minutes. The Cape of Good Hope, is a rocky headland on the Atlantic coast of the Cape Peninsula in South Africa. The British occupied the territory from 1806 following the Battle of Blaauwberg, the Dutch ceded the territory in the Anglo-Dutch Treaty of 1814. The Cape was then administered as a Cape Colony and remained as a British colony until it was incorporated into the independent Union of South Africa in 1910. In the original blue paper binding. Externally, sound with light chipping to the extremities. Loss of both boards, the front board sits on top of internal pages. Internally, generally firmly bound. Pages are very bright and clean. with light age toning to the extremities. Good.
