Xiii pp + 102 pages followed by publishers advert leaf and 21 litho plates by Ingrey & Madeley 310 The Strand, there is a hand-cold frontispiece which makes the full 22 plates called for. Paste down circular paper label on glazed paper boards printed titles and price of the book 5/- (25p). Spine perished mostly, original stringing firm, boards worn and rounded corners. Two old ink inscriptions "M. H. V. H. Rawson 1828" to top of title page and "Vera J. Crowther From Mamma 1899" on FFEP. some foxing to endpapers and several plates have some age browning mainly the earlier plates. Text is still very good and printed on good paper. Good only but all collated and complete. *This work has geometric diagrams and illustrations of models that a child can make (or used to be able to a 100 years ago), some of the plates fold -out. An instructional and early school teachers book for young minds. 2nd edition but enlarged and improved.
