His Parables: The Most Moving Words Ever Written about the Parables of Jesus

Whether people agreed with him or not, the consensus about Jesus was that “no one speaks like this man speaks.” Jesus told stories. He used figurative language. He sprinkled his teaching with metaphors that captured people’s hearts and imaginations. And Jesus’ parables still fascinate, teach, and challenge. In the 365 readings some of the familiar parables, like the sower and the prodigal son, will take on new richness. Readings about other less-familiar parables will challenge your understanding in the same way they did for those who first heard them. Writers and thinkers like Origen, John Wesley, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, D. L. Moody, Joni Eareckson Tada, Kay Arthur, Warren Wiersbe, Ravi Zacharias and many others will serve as your guides as you meditate on these simple yet profound pictures of Jesus.
