La edici�n cr�tica de esta obra fundamental de la literatura latinoamericana est� coordinada por Cintio Vitier y participan en el an�lisis de la obra: Ciro Bianchi Ross, Raquel Carri�, Julio Ortega, Benito Pelegr�n, Severo Sarduy, Justo C. Ulloa y Mar�a Zambrano, entre otros.

About the Author

Born in Cuba in 1910, Lezama Lima was appointed director of the Department of Literature and Publications of the National Cultural Council and vice-president of the Cuban Artists and Writers Union after the Castro revolution. However, because of the books frank discussion of homosexuality (a taboo topic in Cuba), he was out-of-favor with the Castro regime after Paradiso's publication. He died in 1976.
