Chapter One

GENESIS

1:1 In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. John 1:3 All things were made by Him, and without Him was not any thing made that was made.

Colossians 1:16 For by Him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by Him, and for Him.

1:2,3 And the earth was without form and void; and the darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Heb 11:3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.

Psalms 33:6 By the word of the LORD were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of His mouth. ... For He spake, and it was done; He commanded, and it stood fast.

1:9 And God said, Let the waters under the heaven be gathered together unto one place, and let the dry land appear: and it was so.

2 Pet 3:5 For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the Word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing [emerging] out of the water and in the water:

Proverbs 8:29 When He gave to the sea His decree, that the waters should not pass His commandment: when He appointed the foundations of the earth:

1:11 And God said, Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb yielding fruit after his kind, whose seed is in itself, upon the earth: and it was so.

Heb 6:7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God;

1:27 So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.

Matt 19:4 And He answered and said unto them, Have ye not read, that He which created them at the beginning made them male and female,

2:2 And on the 7th day God ended His work which He had made; and rested on the 7th day from all His work which He had made.

Heb 4:4 For He spake in a certain place of the 7th day on this wise, And God did rest the 7th day from all His works.

2:9 And out of the ground made the LORD God to grow every tree that is pleasant to the sight, and good for food; the tree of life also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of knowledge of good and evil.

Rev 2:7 He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; To him that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise [presence] of God.

Rev 22:2 In the midst of the street of it, and on either side of the river, was there the tree of life, which bare 12 manner of fruits, and yielded her fruit every month: and the leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations.

2:23,24 And Adam said, This is [at last this one] now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man. Therefore shall a man leave his father and his mother, and shall cleave unto his wife: and they shall be one flesh.

Matt 19:5 And said, FOR THIS CAUSE SHALL A MAN LEAVE FATHER AND MOTHER, AND SHALL CLEAVE TO HIS WIFE: AND THEY TWAIN SHALL BE ONE FLESH?

Mark 10:6-8 But from the beginning of the creation God made them male and female. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and cleave to his wife; And they twain shall be one flesh so then they are no more twain, but one flesh.

1 Cor 6:16 For two, saith He, shall be one flesh.

Eph 5:30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh, and of His bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.

3:13 And the LORD God said unto the woman, What is this that thou has done? And the woman said, the serpent beguiled me, and I did eat.

1 Tim 2:14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression.

3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:

Rev 22:14 Blessed are they that do His commandments that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city.

4:4,5 And Abel, he also brought of the firstlings of his flock and of the fat thereof. And the LORD had respect unto Abel and to his offering:

But unto Cain and to his offering He had not respect. And Cain was very wroth and his countenance fell.

:10 And He said, What hast thou done? the voice of thy brother's blood crieth unto Me from the ground.

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain ...: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

1 John 3:12 Not as Cain, who was of that wicked one, and slew his brother. And wherefore slew he him? Because his own works were evil, and his brother's righteous.

4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Matt 23:35 That upon you may come all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.

Luke 11:50,51 That the blood of all the prophets, which was shed from the foundation of the world, may be required of this generation; Zacharias, which perished between the altar and the temple: verily I say unto you, It shall be required of this generation.

4:19 And La'-mech took unto him two wives: the name of one was A'-dah, and the name of the other Zil'-lah.

1 Tim 3:2 A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behaviour, given to hospitality, apt to teach.

5:18 And Ja'-red lived 162 years, and he begat E'-noch:

Jude 14 And E'-noch also, the 7th from Adam, prophesied of these, saying, Behold, the LORD cometh with 10 thousands of His saints,

5:24 And E'-noch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him.

Heb 11:5 By faith E'-noch was translated that he should not see death; AND WAS NOT FOUND, BECAUSE GOD HAD TRANSLATED HIM:

6:8 But Noah found grace in the eyes of the LORD.

Heb 11:7 By faith, Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by which he condemned the world, and became heir of righteousness which is by faith.

6:17,18 And, behold, I, even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything that is in the earth shall die.

But with thee will I establish my covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons, and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee.

2 Pet 2:5 And spared not the old [ancient] world, but saved Noah the 8th person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly;

2 Peter 3:6 Whereby the world that then was, being overflowed with water, perished [was destroyed]:

7:23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark (see above 2 Peter 2:5).

9:6 Whoso sheddeth man's blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made He man.

Matt 26:52 Then said Jesus unto him, Put up again thy sword into his place: for all they that take the sword shall perish with the sword.

11:10 ...: Shem was an 100 years old, and begat Ar-phax'-ad 2 years after the flood:

Luke 3:36 ... which was the son of Ar-phax'-ad, which was the son of Sem,

Hebrews 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

12:2 And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shall be a blessing:

Gal 3:8 And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, IN THEE SHALL ALL NATIONS BE BLESSED.

12:3 And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.

Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, AND IN THY SEED SHALL ALL THE KINDREDS OF THE EARTH BE BLESSED.

14:18-20 And Mel-chiz'-ed-ek king of Salem brought forth bread and wine: and he was the priest of the most high God. And he blessed him, and said, Blessed be Abram of the most high God, possessor of heaven and earth:

And blessed be the most high God, which hath delivered thine enemies into thy hand. And he gave him tithes of all.

Heb 7:1,2 For this Mel-chis'-ed-ec, king of Salem, priest of the most high God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings, and blessed him;

To whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all [the loot]; first being by interpretation King of righteousness, and after that also King of Salem, which is, King of peace;

Hebrews 7:6 But he whose descent is not counted from them received tithes of Abraham, and blessed him that had the promises.

15:2 And Abram said, Lord GOD, what will Thou give me, seeing I go [am] childless, and the steward of my house is this El-i-e'-zer of Damascus? And Abram said, Behold, to me Thou hast given no seed: and, lo, one [one of my servants] born in my house is mine heir.

Acts 7:5 And He gave him none inheritance in it, no, not so much as to set his foot on; yet He promised that He would give it to him for a possession, and to his seed after him, when as yet he had no child.

15:5 ...: AND He said unto him, So shall thy seed be. Rom 4:18 . . ., according to that which was spoken, SO SHALL THY SEED BE.

15:6 And he believed in the LORD; and He counted it to him for righteousness.

Rom 4:3 For what saith the scripture? ABRAHAM BELIEVED GOD, AND IT WAS COUNTED UNTO HIM FOR RIGHTEOUSNESS.

Galatians 3:6 Even as Abraham believed God, and it was accounted [credited] to him for righteousness.

15:13,14 And He said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them 400 years;

And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance.

Acts 7:6,7 And God spake on this wise, That his seed [descendant] should sojourn [stay] in a strange land; and that they should bring them into bondage, and entreat [deal harshly] them evil 400 years. And the nation to whom they shall be in bondage will I judge [pass judgment], said God; and after that shall they come forth, and serve Me in this place.

17:2 And I will make My covenant between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

:4 As for Me, behold, My covenant is with thee, and thou shalt be a father of many nations.

Rom 4:17 (As it is written, I HAVE MADE THEE A FATHER OF MANY NATIONS,)

Galatians 3:13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith.

17:28 And God said Sarah thy wife shall bear thee a son indeed, and thou shalt call his name Isaac: and I will establish My covenant with him for an everlasting covenant and with his seed after him.

Gal 4:28 Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise.

18:10 And He said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son.

Rom 9:9 For this is the word of promise, AT THIS TIME WILL I COME, AND SARAH SHALL HAVE A SON.

19:2 And he said, Behold now, my lords, turn in, I pray you, into your servant's house, and tarry all night, and wash your feet, and ye shall arise up early, and go on your ways. And they said, Nay, but we will abide in the street all night.

Heb 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain [receive] strangers for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

21:1,2 And the LORD visited Sarah as He had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as He had spoken.

For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.

Heb 11:11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged [considered] Him faithful Who had promised.

21:4 And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being 8 days old, as God had commanded him.

Acts 7:8 And He gave him the covenant of circumcision: and so Abraham begat Isaac, and circumcised him the 8th day; ...

21:9,10 And Sarah saw the son of Ha'-gar the Egyptian, which she had born unto Abraham, mocking.

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac.

Heb 4:29 But as then he that was born after the flesh persecuted him that was born after the Spirit, even so it is now.

:30 Nevertheless what saith the scripture? CAST OUT THE BONDWOMAN AND HER SON: FOR THE SON OF THE BONDWOMAN SHALL NOT BE HEIR WITH THE SON OF THE FREEWOMAN.

21:12 ...; for in Isaac shall thy seed by called.

Matt 1:2 Abraham begat Isaac; and Isaac begat Jacob; and Jacob begat Judas and his brethren;

Romans 9:7,8 Neither, because they are the seed of Abraham, are they all children: but, IN ISAAC SHALL THY SEED BE CALLED.

That is, They which are the children of the flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the promise are counted for the seed.

Gal 4:23 But he who was of the bondwoman was born after the flesh; but he of the freewoman was by promise.

22:9 And they came to the place which God had told him of; and Abraham built an altar there, and laid the wood in order, and bound Isaac his son, and laid him on the altar upon the wood.

James 2:21 Was not Abraham our father justified by works, when he had offered Isaac his son upon the altar? [And God provided him a ram in a bush; thus, Jehovahjireh – our Provider]

22:17 That in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed ...

Heb 6:14 Saying, SURELY BLESSING I WILL BLESS THEE, AND MULTIPLYING I WILL MULTIPLY THEE.

25:23 And the LORD said unto her, ...; and the elder shall serve the younger.

Rom 9:12 It was said unto her, THE ELDER SHALL SERVE THE YOUNGER.

27:34 And when Esau heard the words of his father, he cried with a great and exceeding bitter cry, and said unto his father, Bless me, even me also, O my father.

Heb 12:17 For ye know how that afterward, when he would have inherited the blessing, he was rejected: for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears.

38:30 And afterward came out his brother that had the scarlet thread upon his hand: and his name was called Zar'-ah.

Matt 1:3 And Judas begat Pha'-res and Za'-ra of Tha'-mar; ...

42:5 And the sons of Israel came to buy corn among those that came: for the famine was in the land of Caanan.

Acts 7:11 Now there came a dearth [famine] over all the land of Egypt and Cha'-naan, and great affliction: and our fathers found no sustenance.

Acts 7:14 Then sent Joseph, and called his father Jacob to him, and all his kindred, 75 souls.
