Parallel Optimization: Theory, Algorithms, and Applications

Zustand: Akzeptabel | Seiten: 576 | Sprache: Englisch | Produktart: Bücher | Recent technological innovations with the introduction of parallel computer architectures are having a significant impact on every area of scientific computing where large-scale problems are attacked. This comprehensive book provides an introduction to th methods of parallel optimization by introducing parallel computing ideas and techniques into both optimization theory and numerical algorithms for large-scale optimization problems. It also examines significant, broad areas of application in fields as diverse as finance, biomedical and transportation where the problems are particularly suitable for solution on parallel machines, and where substantial progress has been made in recent years with the application of parallel optimization algorithms. The material presented in this book leads to implementable parallel algorithms that have undergone the scrutiny of implementation on a variety of parallel architectures.…
