About the Author

Dr. Scott Turansky is a pastor and a professor at Concordia University where he teaches the Masters level parenting program to students who are getting a degree in Family Life Education. He also has a private practice where he coaches parents of children with all kinds of challenges including ADHD, emotional challenges, defiance, and issues related to adoption.
He and Joanne Miller, RN, BSN head up the National Center for Biblical Parenting where they have trained over 150 presenters to teach live parenting seminars and trained over 300 Biblical Parenting Coaches. They are the authors of 15 parenting books and have developed heart-based strategies that work.
The National Center for Biblical Parenting was birthed in the early 90s. Although they had no idea how big the ministry would develop, they knew that their heart-based, practical, biblical approach was strategic for helping Christian families reach their full potential.
Dr. Scott Turansky is married to Carrie who is also an author and they have five children and seven grandchildren. Joanne Miller is married to Ed and they have two sons and two grandchildren.
