A featured speaker for coaching associations in Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Japan, and the USA he has also been a regular columnist for swimming publications such as, Swimmers, Swimmers Coach, SWIM SWIM, and Swim Texas Magazine.
Through his work as a sports psychologist alone, he has probably influenced more athletes & coaches than any other teacher, coach, or swimming professional today, having worked directly with about 20,000 athletes, artists, and business professionals and approximately 500 teams worldwide.
An enthusiastic competitor since his childhood, Dr. Bell was the first man over 45 to place in a USS National Championship; garnering 6th place in the 10K National Championship. In addition to his passion for swimming, Dr. Bell enjoys baseball, writing, reading, relaxing to a good movie, and sharing a heated debate. When not engaged in one of these activities, you might find him kayaking on a lake or swimming in the nearest body of water he can find.
A local legend -- for not having not missed a day of training for over a quarter-of-a-century -- his dedication, motivation, & personal belief systems continue to inspire athletes around the globe.
