This set includes: Homeri Ilias, 1895. Edited by Walter Leaf, an English banker, classical scholar and psychical researcher. P. Vergili Maronis Bucolica Georgica Aeneis, 1895. Edited by Thomas Ethelbert Page, a British classicist and schoolmaster. Catvlli Veronensis Liber, 1896. Edited by Arthur Palmer, a British scholar and politician. Sophoclis Tragoediae, 1897. Edited by Robert Yelverton Tyrrell, an Irish classical scholar and Regius Professor of Greek at Trinity College. In the original decorative hardcover boards. Externally, smart with light shelf wear and minor bumping to the extremities. The odd mark to the boards and discolouration to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with light scattered spotting and age toning to the endpapers. Light worming. Contemporary ink inscription to the front endpaper of volume one.
