Terri Bennett is the founder and force behind DoYourPart. Her mission is to empower people with the tools and information needed to create healthier and less wasteful homes. Terri brings her scientific and broadcast background together to inspire each one of us to adopt a more eco-friendly lifestyle that s better for you and our fragile planet. For 17 years, Terri worked as a meteorologist for television stations in North Carolina, where she was Chief Meteorologist and the first female TV meteorologist in her market. Even as she delivered the nightly forecast, she carved out other avenues for teaching viewers ways to protect our planet. Terri created and produced the weekly Terri s Garden and WaterWise television segments, which showed viewers how to enjoy nature while preventing pollution of our land, air and water. During that time, she also penned a daily newspaper column, Earth, Stars, and Skies for The Charlotte Observer. Terri left television in 2007 and started Do Your Part® to fulfill her passion about showing others how going green is actually easy, economical, and an important way to create a healthier home and a healthier planet. Her DoYourPart videos are syndicated to television stations across the country and her weekly syndicated newspaper column can be found in many major newspapers and their websites.
