Ex-library Rowland Institute with stamp on front pastedown, spine label, and rear pocket but otherwise clean. Textblock a little wavy. Cloth. Volume one (of six) in the series. A classic and still highly relevant work useful for the microscopist. The second edition. PROVENANCE: The Library of The Rowland Institute, set up by Edwin Land after leaving Polaroid. The library was dispersed when the Institute left it's original location.
