Alberto S.B. is a Cuban-born author and entrepreneur based in El Paso, Texas. Born in Havana's Vedado neighborhood, he is a direct descendant of the Stout and Brown family lines chronicled in this book. His research into his own family history - spanning Cuba, Mexico, and the American Southwest - led him to uncover the extraordinary story of two Buffalo Soldier ancestors who survived the 1898 explosion of the USS Maine.
What the Maine Could Not Sink is the result of years of genealogical research and a lifelong desire to preserve his family's legacy. Alberto continues to write and share the histories that connect generations across borders and centuries.
