Synopsis
Circa September 1996 - San Fernando Valley, California… Major Crimes Unit Lieutenant Detective Len Morgan’s long-time partner, Jeff Robinson, is shot and hospitalized after interrupting a liquor store robbery that left two people dead, one by Robinson’s weapon. Len teams up with a veteran detective who recently transferred from LAPD. With Jeff Robinson hours out of the hospital, his home is destroyed by a firebombing. Hours later, a similar firebombing destroys the Devonshire Hills Precinct’s favorite coffee shop and leaves several uniformed officers dead. Additional West Valley detectives are added ‘from the bench’ in an effort to solve these horrendous bombings. With Jeff Robinson in new ‘digs’, convalescing and deciding whether detective work is his ‘bag’, Len gains a new, younger partner. They quickly become involved with the Beverly Hills Police, the Los Angeles FBI, and Interpol in an effort to chase down a pair of elusive murder suspects; one, a suspected Israeli Mossad agent gone rogue.
About the Author
In 2001 I retired as a project superintendent from the commercial construction field and decided to fulfill a life's ambition--to write detective-fiction novels. I'd had the urge to write for the entirety of my life. In high school, one of my literature teachers suggested that I consider a career in journalism. Ever the skeptic, it took me several decades but I accepted his challenge in part and A Scent of Suspicion was the result. First published in 1999, it became the initial full-length detective-fiction novel in the popular Detective Len Morgan Series. In 2013, I added and e-published a political book, now available in paperback titled, Prodigious Political Ponderings and Prognostications. Besides CHAOS ...and Cops! please check out the following exciting novels: A Scent of Suspicion, His Father's Sons, and A Passion for Revenge. All are available at Createspace eStore.com/books, or Amazon.com/books. The next entry in the Detective Len Morgan series, INSANIA INTERRUPTUS, will be available in early Summer, 2015.
