Hardcover, Signed by the Author and with related publishers ephemera, 2nd Printing Oct 1939 Bica Press 320 pages. Very Good+ in a VG+ DJ. Just a touch of shelf/edge wear to reddish/orange cloth boards with dark blue titles-corners sharp. Minor shelf/edge wear and some dust soiling to unclipped DJ, spine of DJ has touch of darkening-DJ now in mylar. Signed gift inscription to previous owner by the author (dated 1940) and another name written on the inside front cover as well. All pages are bright, clean and crisp. Written by the Chief of Police for Highland Park, Michigan. Laid in is the actual promotional brochure (4 page fold-out) for the book from the publisher. Pamphlet is in Fine Condition. Very scarce title in this nice a condition, with a eye-catching DJ (scarce all by itself) not to mention the publishers pamphlet. Unusual and uncommon example of reaching out to youth through a crime story written by a Police Chief. LOC SSS-25.
