1961 & 1962 reprints of the 1956 revision. A complete two volume set of an Everyman's Library edition presenting a selection of fifteenth century letters centered on the influential Paston family. Per Donald Armstrong Ross, the letters provide ". . .a most valuable source for English social history" during this time. With appended glossary of archaic terms to each volume, index of names & place names appended to v.2 and a sketch map of Eastern England in v.1. This edition edited and introduced by John Warrington. Full blue cloth-covered boards with gilt-stamped spine titling and interlocked 'EL' at tail of spine; orange topstain. Volume 1 only in light blue dust jacket with 'Everyman's Library' surrounded by scrollwork to front panel. Volume 2 lacks the jacket. --- A tightly-bound and unmarked set, though with mild age-toning to edges of leaves.
