According to the National Institute of Child Health & Human Development, a child who has learned phonics has a method to recognize familiar words and "decode" unfamiliar ones.

Teaching a child phonics is integral to their success in reading, but we need to be careful how we approach it. Drilling sounds that are not connected to actual meaning can be boring and frustrating for a child which is why we created our learning to read series, where we put into practice phonics principles. We give meaning to the sounds the child is learning in order to make reading fun and engaging through our simple reading process.

Mommy Scribbles believes that reading should be a special time that brings families together, not something that brings tears. So let's sit down and learn how to read by doing instead of drilling. GRAB YOUR COPY TODAY!
