The Path Towards Knowledge : Discourses on Some Difficulties of the Day (Classic Reprint)

In The Path Towards Knowledge: Discourses on Some Difficulties of the Day this edition examines a central debate in modern thought: how Positivism compares with Christian faith in understanding the world, knowledge, and how we live.

The work analyzes Comte’s system, its claims about science, religion, and the moral life, and what it means for prayer, forgiveness, and the search for truth. It weighs the strengths and limits of a philosophy that aims to unite broad human concerns under a single framework with the enduring insights offered by Christianity.

• How Positivism organizes knowledge and its view of science, morality, and progress
• The role of prayer, remorse, and forgiveness in personal life and faith
• How Christian and Positivist approaches judge the value of different human pursuits
• Conversations about ethics, duty, and the best path for the regeneration of humanity

Ideal for readers exploring philosophy, theology, and the history of ideas who want a clear, thoughtful comparison of two influential worldviews.
