Jesus Came as the ultimate Prophet, preaching the kingdom of God. Then one Friday afternoon on a hill outside Jerusalem, Jesus-the ultimate Priest-offered a perfect sacrifice and crushed the head of the serpent, defeating the kingdom of darkness forever. He rose from the dead and ascended to God's right hand as the ultimate King. When He returns, His victory over the darkness will be fully realized, and a new day will dawn for all humanity. We live in between. The darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining. The story of our lives began with God creating the world and commissioning Adam and Eve to live in it as His image, but it continues past the fall, past the cross, to the resurrection life that Jesus Himself gives us so we can walk in His footsteps. Learn to navigate your life as a follower of the resurrected and ascended Jesus. Follow Jesus as a priest by learning to pray well, and usher others into the presence of God. Follow Jesus as a king by learning to understand your relationships well and handle friendship and conflict. Follow Jesus as a prophet by learning to hear God speak, respond to Him in faith, and carry His good news of blessing and repentance to the world.
