Translated from German by Joseph Kammerer and Benjamin F. Dawson and published in New York in 1868, the volume systematically classifies uterine morbid changes into two main divisions: anomalies of formation and anomalies of nutrition. It details a comprehensive taxonomy of congenital uterine anomalies—absence of the uterus, rudimentary uterus, unicornuate uterus, didelphic uterus, bicornuate uterus (septus and unicollis), and separated bilocular forms—together with developmental stages from fetal life through puberty and childhood. The work further traces puerperal affections, endometritis and metritis, ulcerations, fibrous and mucous polyps, fibroid tumours, carcinoma, tuberculosis, and other pathologies, including parasitic Entozoa and Entophyta. Though technical, Klob’s emphasis on pathological anatomy provides a foundational, classification-driven view of structural diseases of female sexual organs, intended for study rather than casual reading.
