Pathway to Renewal (P2R): A 26-Week Guide to Reentry, Recovery, and Life After Struggle

Pathway to Renewal (P2R): A 26-Week Guide to Reentry, Recovery, and Life After Struggle is a trauma-informed, real-world workbook designed for individuals rebuilding their lives after incarceration, homelessness, addiction, or major life disruption. Created by Dr. Kerry L. Shipman—a behavioral health executive, educator, and justice reform advocate—P2R combines lived experience with clinical insight to offer a structured journey toward healing, stability, and personal growth.

Unlike traditional programs, P2R is raw, relatable, and built for people who have faced real-life barriers. Each of the 26 weekly modules includes practical assignments, mental health check-ins, life skills exercises, and self-reflection tools to help participants take ownership of their goals, finances, housing, mindset, and more.

Whether used individually, with a therapist or case manager, or in a group setting, this guide is ideal for transitional housing programs, reentry initiatives, peer support services, and community-based recovery efforts.

• A structured weekly plan for recovery and reentry

• Tools for housing, employment, and financial stability

• Worksheets for stress management, decision-making, and emotional health

• Space for self-reflection, growth tracking, and personal storytelling

• Guidance from someone who understands both the system—and the way out

This isn’t just a workbook. It’s your reset. Your plan. Your second chance in motion.
