Pathways to Discipleship: Knowing Jesus

a framework for living! Unpack Jesus’ life-changing habits that lead to greater peace and purpose.

Jesus invites us to follow him as his disciples. Learn how we can encounter him in prayer, scripture, sacraments and community. Pathways to Discipleship: Knowing Jesus is organized into six sessions, with each session exploring a habit of discipleship that Jesus teaches. Session topics include The Way of Jesus, Prayer, Scripture, The Mass, Community, and Gifts of the Holy Spirit.

Sessions are centered on the Gospel message of Jesus, along with Catholic Church teachings. The lives of saints and the witness of ordinary Catholics, along with practical examples, illustrate how each of us can live these habits as followers of Jesus. Each session also includes small group discussions reflecting on the habit and how to best incorporate it into our daily lives. Through Pathways to Discipleship, participants grow in awareness of the habits of Christian discipleship as Jesus lived them, form bonds of fellowship, and encourage community. At the end of each session is a section called Practice Together, which is an opportunity to practice the habit covered in the session. This may be done as a group. Sessions conclude with a Discipleship Next Step to help form one of the habits of a disciple.
