About the Authors

Mari Vargo holds an M.A. in English from San Francisco State University. She has authored numerous ELT textbooks and online educational materials for a wide range of audiences, including community colleges, universities, corporations, and primary and secondary schools.

Laurie Blass is a writer and editor specializing in print and digital English Language Teaching materials. She has an M.A. in Linguistics and a TESL certificate from the University of Pittsburgh and has taught ESL in the United States and France. She is the author/co-author of over 40 ELT titles representing a wide range of audiences, from adult education to English for academic purposes.

Paul MacIntyre earned his MA in TESL from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts. He has been an ELT professional for over 20 years. Paul has teaching experience in Japan and the United States, and as an editor participated in the development of numerous ELT courses for classrooms around the world. As a writer, he has contributed to various major course book and testing programs. For National Geographic Learning he is proud to have authored Reading Explorer 2, Reading Explorer 4, and most recently Pathways Listening and Speaking 4.

Kristin Sherman has been an ELT teacher, teacher trainer, consultant, and course book author for more than 15 years. She regularly conducts teacher training workshops throughout Latin America and Asia. Kristin is co-author of several ELT series and has written print materials and online content for many other publications. She holds an M.Ed. in TESL from the University of North Carolina, Charlotte.
