St. Patrick's Day Book About Feeling Unlucky & Finding Gratitude: A Cozy Preschool Social Skills Story About Jealousy, Disappointment, and Big Feeling

Does your child ever feel “unlucky” when someone else gets the special thing?

When a friend wins…
When someone finds the prize first…
When they try and try, but it just isn’t their turn…

Big feelings can show up fast.

In this gentle St. Patrick’s Day story from The Cozy Crew, the friends are searching the Clover Patch for a lucky four-leaf clover before the Great Green Parade begins.

Hop finds one right away.
Elle finds one too.
But Milo searches and searches… and only finds ordinary three-leaf clovers.

His green excitement turns into a quiet, Soft Blue sadness.

The celebration doesn’t feel cozy when you feel left out of the magic.

Luckily, Slow-Mo knows a different way to look at things.

When he shows Milo “The Magic of Three,” Milo begins to see his clovers in a brand new way:
One leaf for Kindness.
One leaf for Fun.
One leaf for Friends.

Maybe the best kind of luck was in his hands all along.

Children Will Learn:

• How to handle disappointment when things don’t go their way
• A gentle way to work through jealousy and envy
• How to practice gratitude in everyday moments
• That love, friendship, and kindness are the greatest kind of luck

The Lucky Leaf Hunt is part of The Cozy Crew — a heartwarming preschool social-emotional series where each story teaches one simple, repeatable tool children can use in real life.
