About the Author
Andrew Richard is currently Senior Technical Demonstrator in Pattern Cutting at Bath Spa University, teaching garment construction, drafting and modelling for its undergraduate Fashion Design course. Since graduating from the Royal College of Art with a masters in Womenswear fashion, Andrew has worked as a pret-aporter designer for Valentino in Milan, as well as having many freelance fashion positions in over twelve years in the industry. He has also worked on various live projects with names such as Paul Smith and Mila Schon.
Jo Barnfield is also a lecturer in Pattern Cutting at Bath Spa University, teaching garment construction, drafting and modelling for its undergraduate Fashion Design course. She is a pattern cutter, constructionist, and technical designer accomplished in beadwork, embroidery, crochet, tatted lace, hand and machine knit.
