Developing Pattern Recognition
Pattern recognition can be easier to learn than it is to teach. There are a few strategies that can be taught to help students recognize a pattern, but practice is usually the best teacher.
Expose students to lots of patterns. Start with easy patterns and progress to more challenging ones. Don’t forget to point out patterns in everyday life too. They’re all around us.
