Paul the Counselor: Counseling and Disciple-Making Modeled by the Apostle

The Apostle Paul had a passion to help Christians grow spiritually and apply biblical principles to the everyday challenges they encountered and that we face today. In that sense, Paul taught the same lessons that biblical counselors teach today. We are all called to counsel and disciple one another and the practical lessons in this book will be referred to over and over again. Chapters are authored by men and women who are biblical counselors and include such topics as Paul’s model of change, Paul’s lessons on temptation, renewing the mind, women in ministry and leaving the past behind.

Bill Hines, D.Min., of Covenant Ministries, is a certified biblical counselor with the Association of Certified Biblical Counselors (ACBC) and an ordained minister with the Evangelical Church Alliance. Mark E. Shaw, D.Min., is a certified biblical counselor with ACBC and IABC. He leads a national team of servant-leaders at The Addiction Connection and is the Director of Counseling at his local church, Grace Fellowship Church, in Florence, Kentucky.
