Pause Before You Build: The Accidental Business Analyst's Guide to the Orbit Framework

WARNING: This book will slow you down.

Not because it's long-it isn't. Because it will make you question every project you've ever rushed, every requirement you've ever accepted at face value, and every time you said "we can absolutely do that" without checking whether you actually could.

ORBIT is a five-discipline framework for the radical act of understanding a problem before building a solution. It was created by someone who spent twenty years learning this lesson the hard way across three continents, one pandemic, an attendance system that nearly underpaid half a workforce, and a spreadsheet that told him the truth on a Sunday evening when he would have preferred a lie.

For founders who have over-promised, for CTOs who have over-engineered, for project managers who have over-delivered on the wrong thing, for graduates wondering how the theories they learned in classrooms translate into the messy realities of business and for anyone who has ever sat in a meeting thinking, "Has anyone actually checked whether this is the real problem?" and said nothing.

This book is your permission to say something.
