A Paw Partnership: How the Veterinary Industry is Poised to Transform Over the Next Decade

A Paw Partnership charts a path toward hope and healing through partnerships between pet parents and the professionals who care for their pets.

Neha Taneja knew the statistics. From her vantage point as veterinary practice manager, she'd watched the industry take its toll on her peers. Now she, too, was on the brink of burnout. By stepping away from the profession, Taneja found the compelling perspective offered in A Paw Partnership: How the Veterinary Industry is Poised to Transform Over the Next Decade.

Through deeply personal storytelling, A Paw Partnership diagnoses an ailing industry's symptoms:

• For over-scheduled pet care professionals, the buffer between the beloved patient who died on the operating table and the next patient on the schedule may be little more than a five minute window and an exam room door.
• Doctors come out of veterinary school and medical school equally in debt. But the average salary of a veterinarian equals that of a department store manager.
• Without the systems and support they need, pet care providers risk burnout, compassion fatigue, depression, and suicide.
