In a body that HURTS... In a body that's EXHAUSTED...There is JOY...There is FULFILLMENT... There is PEACE.Can you be happy and at peace when your body is screaming in pain? YES! There may not be a cure for your physical condition, but there is a way out of the anguish and misery. With the tools in Peace with Pain, you’ll discover how to create a joyful and productive life despite the malfunctions of the body. This simple path of focused meditation, mindfulness, and pacing can be followed by anyone who is suffering. Meditation is the foundation of the practice; mindfulness allows you to gain control of your time and life; and pacing all of life’s activities keeps you moving forward on the path to peace. Rather than propose a cure for pain and illness, Peace with Pain opens a doorway into the beauty and ecstasy found only in full awareness of the present moment. This book for people with chronic pain is about living with and using your body efficiently as it is, right now.

About the Author
Jenna Sundell experiences constant severe pain, extreme ecstasy and profound peace, all at the same time each and every day. She was ordained as a monk of the Rama Lineage and began offering public meditation classes in 1994 after receiving a teaching empowerment.
As her body started to fail due to a combination of chronic illnesses, she became disabled and could longer work as computer consultant. This experience allowed her to focus full time on her Buddhist practice, as well as teaching and writing. In 1998, while working to gain control of her body's physical issues, she co-founded Dharma Center.
Although Dharma Center's main mission is to provide meditation and mindfulness training for people who live and work in the world, Jenna is also able to serve those who are physically suffering. Her deep understanding of pain and its effects make her especially suited to help people who need meditation the most. Over the years, many students have thrived because they learned how to use meditation and mindfulness to manage their energy and their symptoms. In short, these students have learned to live as she does: unreasonably happy in a body overrun with pain.
Jenna's first book, Worlds of Power, Worlds of Light has inspired people from all walks of life to discover their spiritual path. Even years after its publication, people continue to encounter her first book and be motivated by it to begin their own spiritual search.
In an effort to share meditation with as many people as possible, Jenna offers classes throughout the country. She also writes inspirational and educational posts on her blog at jennasundell.com, as well as on Facebook and Twitter. (Facebook.com/JennaSundell and twitter.com/jennasundell)Jenna's hobbies include writing poetry, exploring the deserts of Southern California in a Jeep, and studying Eastern spiritual classics. She also practices Tai Chi and has fun with digital photography.
