About the Author

Award-winning author Laurel McHargue, a 1983 graduate of West Point, was raised in Braintree, Massachusetts, but somehow found her way to Colorado's Rocky Mountains, where she has taught and currently lives and laughs and writes and hosts the podcast Alligator Preserves. She also raises ducks.
