Not dated. 12mo, 42 pp plus 6pp of advertisements. Bound in original orange coloured card boards with text and woodcut. Illustrated with eleven HAND COLOURED wood engravings including frontis. Bound in original boards which are lightly soiled and marked and small nick missing at rear, probably from an elastic band, this has also affected some pages of text, otherwise a nice bright copy.The Grant & Griffiths Edition is a compilation of 'The Peacock at Home' & The Butterfly's Ball' & The Fancy Fair'. Only 'The Peacock at Home' and 'Fancy Fair' is illustrated. 'The Fancy Fair' has been illustrated with steel engravings. All the plates in the Grant & Griffiths edition are hand coloured.First published by John Harris 1807. Grant & Griffith were the successors to John Harris publishers circa 1835, later changing their name to Griffith and Farran in 1856.Therefore, although this is not dated, it is circa 1835.
