Green Cloth Covered Boards With Bright Gilt Title On The Front And Slightly Faded On The Spine. 22 Illustrations By L Rossi. Embossed Intricate Decorative Frame Surrounding A Paste Down Vignette Of A 'Pears Child' .The Half Title Page Is Foxed However The Details Are Still Clear. The Front Board Is Cracked Along The Gutter But The Board Is Still Well Attached.The Rest Of The Book Is Very Clean Including The Title Page And Frontispiece. Each volume containing about thirty illustrations by Charles Green, with The Cricket on the Hearth containing twenty-two illustrations by L. Rossi, each volume introduced by Clement Shorter.
