Pedagogical practices relating to moral behaviour in Colombian education

The development of upright citizens who not only possess academic knowledge but also understand the importance of making decisions based on ethical principles depends on the integration of ethical and moral values into education. As a result, all members of the educational community-students, parents, teachers, and support staff-are at the center of pedagogical strategies. To help students explore ethical dilemmas from a variety of perspectives and develop critical thinking skills, a variety of techniques are used, such as debates, case studies, community service projects, and personal reflections. The inclusion of ethics in the curriculum across various subjects reinforces the idea that these values are significant in all areas of life. The role of educators as ethical role models is fundamental, and teachers must foster an open and respectful environment where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions and participating in ethical and moral discussions.
