Book #9 in the original boys' series of 13 books published 1922-1930 featuring the adventures of Pee Wee Harris & his fellow Boy Scouts in the fictional Troop 1 of Bridgeboro, New Jersey (loosely based on a character from the author's hometown of Hackensack). A 1926 FIRST EDITION, later printing (listing to book #10 in rear), this hardcover 8vo has tan cloth over boards, stamped with red lettering to front cover & black to spine. In 246 pages with glossy frontispiece + 3 internals + ads for other series in rear. Condition is VG: light-moderate rubbing/spotting to exterior, slight bumping to both ends of spine & all corners. Binding strong, hinges secure, pages lightly tanned, commensurate with age. Former owner's name in pencil & penciled list of his favorite song titles to rear endpapers; NO other writing/underlining/highlighting; NOT ex-lib. NO DJ (missing).
