Pictorial endpapers with previous owner's signature to first free endpaper. Some foxing to first and last few pages and to edge to of text block. List of Maps, Plans and Illustrations page is detached. Text is clean with scattered foxing. Plates and maps are generally in good shape. 8cm tear to edge of final fold-out map at rear. A far from perfect example of this book, but fascinating content and a significant work on the subject. Text in English.
