By using the mind, we are not limiting ourselves to executives and managers. We mean all the people who work in a company.
People Empowerment describes a process of encouraging participation through people involvement/empowerment. In this process, people are considered the primary resource for furthering productivity. Employees are encouraged to take the initiative in identifying problems and proposing solutions. Through participation in teams, people at all levels offer their unique expertise in a cooperative, problem solving process.
People Empowerment will focus on how to energize the "critical mass" of employees to effect the culture change necessary to be competitive. We will map out how to acquire the necessary skills for survival in an increasingly competitive marketplace through allowing people to maximize their ability to solve problems. The emphasis will be on planning for the transition, developing the necessary skills, conducting effective team meetings and evaluating the results.
Michael W. Gozzo was Executive Vice President and cofounder of Professionals for Technology Associates, Inc., a company specializing in educating all levels of management in the areas of Just-In-Time, Total Quality Control, Manufacturing Systems Implementation and Automations. His experience covers a wide range from Director of Manufacturing, Engineering, and Management of Information Systems. This encompasses businesses involved in process, discrete and repetitive manufacturing. His industry exposure includes cosmetics, food, aerospace, instrumentation, metal cutting, and consumer products.
Mr. Gozzo holds a Masters Degree from the University of New Haven (Executive Program), as well as a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Connecticut. He is certified by the American Production and Inventory Control Society (APICS), and has held positions of International Vice President, New England Regional Vice President, and Hartford Chapter President. Mike is also a member of the American Society for Quality Control (ASQC), National Association of Purchasing Management (NAPM), and Society of Manufacturing Engineers (SME).
