The Perfect Surrogate

"The skin of a dead woman. A house made of glass. A secret that will consume you."
She’s not just a replacement. She’s the biological fuel for a billionaire’s digital lie.

Vivienne was once a celebrated actress, but a viral scandal incinerated her career, leaving her with nothing but crushing debt and a shattered reputation. When tech billionaire Alistair Thorne offers her a lifeline—a position as a "domestic manager" at his secluded Pacific Northwest estate, The Prism—it seems like her last chance at redemption.

But The Prism is no ordinary home. It is a brutalist sanctuary of floor-to-ceiling glass and pale marble, kept at sub-zero temperatures and governed by AURA, an omnipresent AI system that tracks every breath, every heartbeat, and every micro-expression.

Vivienne’s role is simple: maintain the aesthetic perfection of the estate and care for Alistair’s silent, traumatized daughter, Lily. But as she navigates the shadowless corridors, the friction of reality begins to bleed through the digital facade:

• The Glitch: Why does Alistair’s world-famous influencer wife, Cora, only appear in flickering window reflections with a lagging, digital smile?

• The Mask: What is the true purpose of the "medical-grade" paralytic cream Alistair forces her to apply every night?

• The Grave: Who was Jade, the woman who carved a frantic warning into the weeping concrete of the basement?

As Vivienne descends into the subterranean depths of the estate, she uncovers a horrifying truth. Cora is dead, and Alistair isn’t looking for a manager—he’s looking for a biological battery to power a multi-million dollar deepfake.

Trapped in a Golden Cage where the Panopticon is always watching, Vivienne must use every ounce of her theatrical training to play the role of a lifetime. If she fails to hit her mark, she won’t just be replaced. She will be erased.

Perfect for fans of Ex Machina, The Silent Patient, and Black Mirror, The Perfect Surrogate is a cinematic psychological thriller that explores the terrifying intersection of AI, obsession, and the high cost of a digital legacy.
