A Perfectly Reasonable Breakup: An Incomplete Guide to Letting Go

What if the person you’re trying to move on from keeps walking right back into your life?

In this emotionally layered novella, A Perfectly Reasonable Breakup follows Raj, an idealistic medical intern, as he navigates heartbreak, nostalgia, and the chaos of young love. When his ex-girlfriend Diya reappears, claiming regret and offering closure, Raj finds himself pulled back into a tangled web of mixed signals, half-truths, and what-ifs.

Set in the hostels, flats, and tea stalls of urban India, this coming-of-age story explores toxic relationships, emotional manipulation, and the illusion of romantic closure. With moments of raw vulnerability, unexpected humour, and quiet rage, this novella asks: Can love survive betrayal? Or is letting go the only way forward?

A story for readers of literary fiction, campus romance, and messy breakups — A Perfectly Reasonable Breakup is your bittersweet reminder that closure is rarely reasonable.
