A concise, accessible, and authoritative guide to breast surgery
In How to Perform Operative Procedures in Breast Surgery, a team of accomplished breast surgeons deliver a practical, step-by-step handbook for the surgical procedures and techniques commonly used in breast surgery. The authors cover all aspects of routinely performed breast operations and include everything from their indications, to consent procedures, pre-operative preparation, operative steps, post-operative care, and common and uncommon complications. This book also explains various oncoplastic concepts and techniques to improve the outcomes for breast operative procedures such as lipofilling, perforator flaps, and mammoplasty. The book further provides readers with unique techniques and tips pioneered and practised by the authors over many years.
The format of the book is straightforward and concise, contained in short bullet points that make it easy to read, digest, and retain the information contained within. Clear diagrams offer a better understanding of the most important anatomical considerations. Readers will also find:
- A thorough introduction to the anatomy of the breast
- Explanations of common incisions for breast surgery, as well as pre-, intra-, and post-operative tips for breast surgery
- Comprehensive discussions of microdochectomy and total duct excision, as well as wide local excision for breast cancer
- Explorations of axillary procedures and the marking and procedure of mastectomy, including skin sparing and Goldilocks mastectomies
Perfect for trainees and new consultants in the field of breast surgery, How to Perform Operative Procedures in Breast Surgery will also earn a place in the libraries of established surgeons seeking a one-stop reference that improves surgical outcomes.

Store description
**Please note our transit times are from the date of dispatch.** We first started out as “The Paperback Exchange,” a chain of physical bookstores where we would part exchange your beloved books for new stories to transport you to faraway places. However, as shopping started to evolve to online shops and marketplaces, we bid our stores goodbye to become “PBShop.” This transition has only allowed us to blossom as we now ship thousands of titles to book lovers across the globe. We pride ourselves in being a community of local book lovers which allows our passion and devotion to shine in everything we do. In 2020 we not only celebrated our 20th birthday but our 1st birthday as being completely employee owned after becoming an E.O.T in September 2019. We are proud to be different and embrace standing apart on a book mountain by working from a virtual inventory which allows us to provide thousands of books that may be difficult to get for your bookshelf or your studies. Working with a number of different suppliers allows us to explore other avenues such as puzzles, sheet music and even stationery so we really do have something for everyone. Life is about being versatile in all realms of existence. If this is your first purchase with us, or you are a returning customer, we would like to welcome you to the PBShop family, for there is no friend as loyal as a book.
