About the Authors

Sofia Pantouvaki is Professor of Costume Design for Theatre and Film at Aalto University, Finland.

Peter McNeil is Distinguished Professor in Design History at University of Technology, Sydney, Australia. His many books include Pretty Gentlemen: Macaroni Men and the Eighteenth-century Fashion World (2018), Luxury: A Rich History (2016), The Fashion History Reader: Global Perspectives (2010), and Shoes: A History from Sandals to Sneakers (2006)
