The Performer (Paperback)

Paperback. Sprinkled with fantastic period pictures, and sensual love scenes, our 71,321-word channeled novel, The Performer, is an exhilarating dive into 1920's New Orleans Vaudeville Theater. It was composed through automatic writing and documents the life of Steve Monet, a Vaudevillian actor and his eternal, ill-fated soul mate connection to Jeanette Bovia, a plantation heiress and New Orleans Aristocrat. My husband of 43 years, Walter Kohn is Steve Monet, reincarnate; I, Carole Kohn, was his portly, cigar-smoking agent, Bernard Russell. Destiny, Fate and Karma are the quintessential themes that braid The Performer. The reader explores this through Steve, who at the tender age of eleven knew that he was destined to be a star. Many years later, while struggling in the seedy, Chicago theater underground, his curiosity leads him to Madame Ziriya, a reknown tarot card reader. She, too, foresees his stardom. Steve spends his Vaudeville lifetime working toward fame with the perpetual hunger to be the best, until a cruel, life-threatening illness shatters his hope. Fate steps in, presenting Steve with Jeanette Bovia, who offers him the world. She has her obvious motives of sex and lust, but by placing herself directly in Steve's path, she opens herself up to be major player in Steve's karma; his destiny is her destiny. When he cannot stop fate from cutting his life short, she suffers with an overwhelming desire to join him on the other side. Jeanette enters the dark, mysterious world of Voodoo, sending her spiraling into complete insanity. This item is printed on demand.
