Permeability stands as a pivotal parameter in assessing the permeability or transport capacity of tight reservoirs, exerting a significant influence on the extraction of reservoir resources. Laboratory experiments on permeability serve as a crucial means to understand the intrinsic permeability of shale. However, the permeability of shale is exceedingly low and is susceptible to influences from various experimental factors such as gas adsorption, ambient temperature, and testing apparatus. The precise measurement of shale permeability remains one of the challenges that perplex researchers and designers. This book aims to address the following key issues: permeability measurement methods that take into account the effects of adsorption, and the measurement of anisotropic permeability in rocks. This item is printed on demand. Shipping may be from multiple locations in the US or from the UK, depending on stock availability.
