The Persistence of Yellow: Book of Recipes for Life

A book to make your heart soar! You will laugh, cry, cheer and fall in love with life all over again.

Monique Duval was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. There she studied political science at a local university where she decided to bury her artistic inclinations in pursuit of "normalcy". On campus she avoided the lure of the pink-hair, paint-stained art students. Later, she was hired as a crime reporter for a large Texas newspaper where she wrote about homicides, fatalities, drug busts and police corruption. She had health insurance, a car with power windows and a brick house. And then, in 1992 - to her own dismay - she cut her hair, resigned her job and decided to live as an artist. The theme of her work relates to the self-empowering experience of pursuing the desires of the spirit. She currently resides in Baltimore with her true love and her two angels who happen to be disguised as dogs.
