Life Management: A Guide to Personal Excellence breaks down what the author refers to as components of personal life management. Throughout the work these topics, including perspective, attitude, balance, value and influence, are explored in great detail. This work is unique in that it emphasizes the idea that having a balanced life does not always equate to things in a person’s life being equal. Instead, life is fluid and sometimes situations arise that cause one component of a balanced life to overshadow another. This work helps the reader identify what is important to themselves by reading through examples from the author’s own personal experiences as well as through the use of activities embedded in the text. Throughout this work the reader will begin to work towards achieving a greater level of harmony in their personal lives.

Bruce Flareau, MD, is President of BayCare Physician Partners, a clinically integrated network in Tampa Bay. He also leads clinical leadership and Quality teams as the Executive Vice President of Physician Services at BayCare Health System, a leading health system in the Tampa Bay area. Dr. Flareau has been a national and international speaker on a variety of health care topics, including clinical, academic, administrative, information technology, leadership development and healthcare reform. He also has written a variety of published articles, book chapters and books. Most recently, he co-authored the book, "The Six P's of Physician Leadership: A Primer for Emerging and Developing Leaders."
